Working under LS Marine and alongside Ramsey County, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Saint Paul District, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, J.F. Brennan Company built up islands at Pigs Eye Lake in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
The Pigs Eye Lake Island Building Project master plan features seven islands, sand beaches, marsh habitat, and land plantings.
These will improve aquatic and land habitat, and maintain Pigs Eye Lake’s shoreline. This project allows contractors to utilize dredged material from the Mississippi in an environmentally beneficial way.
Construction activities for the island building project started June 2022 and will continue through 2025.
