The Port of London Authority has announced that maintenance dredging will soon begin near the OSL Facility on Canvey Island.

According to the Notice L01-24, contractors instructed by the operators of Oikos Storage Ltd. are about to begin (1) works and (2) dredging operations at Oikos No. 1 Jetty.
The works comprise the removal of a component from the Marine Loading Arm, by use of a crane on a jack-up barge alongside the jetty face. The component is planned to be removed on or around 10th January 2024 and replaced at a later date to be determined.
The dredging operations, which are expected to commence on or about 12th January 2024, will be carried out by the Water Injection Dredging method and will be conducted during ebb tides only.
The area to be dredged comprises the Oikos No. 1 Jetty berth box as well as the rear, clearance channel and the approach / transit area to the berth. The dredging is expected to be complete within 10 days of commencement.
