The development of the Amaliahaven on Maasvlakte II is in full swing.

Together with consortium partners HOCHTIEF Nederland and Ballast Nedam, Van Oord is constructing 2.5 kilometres of new deep-sea and inland shipping quays in the Princess Amaliahaven.

The development will potentially increase annual throughput capacity in the port of Rotterdam by four million standard containers (TEU).

Van Oord is currently dredging the quays to a depth of more than 20 metres below sea level.
