The Corps informed county officials that the project team are certifying the plans/specifications this month, and will be advertising from February 29th through April 1, 2024.
The contract will be awarded on May 2, 2024, and the awarded Contractor will show up in early July 2024 (most likely 7.5.24) with completion a completion date of March 2025.
The project includes dredging sand from an offshore borrow site and pumping around 1.3 million cubic-yards on Flagler Beach, from 6th Street South to 28th Street South.
The project will be renourished every 11 years or sooner if needed.
