J.E. McAmis crews have been busy lately dredging at FRC (Fast Response Cutter) Homeport for the U.S. Coast Guard at Tongue Point, OR.

The company is working as a subcontractor to Granite Construction, part of the GWWH A Joint Venture that won the contract to expand Coast Guard facilities at Tongue Point.

J.E. McAmis will complete Phase 1 of the work sometime next week and move on to the placement of a 1′ sand cap over the dredged area.

Overall, the contract includes dredging around 100,000 cubic yards of sediment and placing an additional 18,000 cubic yards of clean sand fill.
