The Yard Brisbane, one of the most well-resourced shipyards on the east coast of Australia, recently welcomed hopper dredge Faucon for a refit project.
Operated by McQuade Marine, the vessel is one of the bigger dredging ships to come to the Yard Brisbane. She works up and down the east coast of Australia on large scale marine infrastructure projects.
Currently undergoing a makeover by the skilled hands of GT-MAC Industries and RL Marine, Faucon’s rejuvenation includes careful sandblasting of her hull below waterline, as well as application of anti corrosive coatings and premium commercial grade antifoul paint system.
The vessel’s topsides will also be renewed, with careful preparation and a fresh coat of paint.
