The Coast Protection Board has awarded $1,028,000 to projects worth $2.2 million under the 2023-24 Coast Protection Grants Program.
Projects include sand replenishment works at Robe and Whyalla, as well as sea wall repairs at Witton Bluff, near Port Noarlunga.
Other projects include foreshore protection works at Magazine Bay, near Point Turton, and modelling of potential long-term environment changes at Black Point, south of Ardrossan.
The annual grant program supports coastal council projects helping to restore, protect and manage the state’s valuable coastal assets and address climate change risks.
