Dredging work of the South Dock Redevelopment Project Phase 1 is in full swing, Ports Authority, Turks and Caicos Islands said.
The massive $53 million redevelopment of South Dock, which is the main gateway for cargo; handling approximately, 95% of all foods, fuel, and building materials that enter the TCI, is part of the government’s efforts to remedy creaking infrastructure and capacity issues as well as safety challenges at the port.
TCI Premier, Hon. Charles Washington Misick, said that the South Dock Redevelopment represents a crucial investment in the nation’s infrastructure, tourism and economy.
