The Town of Barnstable said that the County Dredge and the Town’s contractor, Dig-It Construction, will begin mobilizing equipment in preparation for the Cotuit Bay Entrance Channel Dredging Project in the following days.
This project will consist of dredging the approach channel into Cotuit Bay.
According to the Town, the dredged material will be used for beach nourishment at the eastern end of Dead Neck.
“ Weather pending, dredging activities are anticipated to start within the next week and will be on-going from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Saturday, and potentially Sundays, if necessary ,” said the Town.
The project is scheduled to be completed by April 1.
