Jan De Nul’s cutter suction dredger (CSD) Fernão de Magalhães is currently very busy working in the Port of Rostock.
Herman Senior b.v. has just released this beautiful photo of its multicat Panda, assisting the large cutter section dredger.
Awarded by the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSV), the project includes deepening of the approach channel (Seekanal) and the Rostock Port area.
Currently, the fleet of 10 vessels is engaged in this dredging project, including the CSD Fernão de Magalhães, six barges, one trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD), one tugboat and the multicat.
Once dredging works are fully completed, the Port of Rostock will be able to accommodate vessels up to 15m draft.
