Maldives Transport and Contracting Company’s hopper dredger Mahaa Jarraafu is back in operation after maintenance and repair work.
This dredger has the capacity to dredge 11,000 cbm within 24 hours.
After rejoining the fleet, Mahaa Jarraafu was mobilized to undertake the R. Ungoofaaru Land Reclamation Project, which is now nearing completion.
The scope of work for this project includes creation of 13.07 hectares of new land.
“ This reclamation project will be processed more swiftly and efficiently with the Mahaa Jarraafu back in operation ,” said the company.
