The latest Gwadar Port maintenance dredging project is now complete, ensuring a depth of 14 meters at the port’s navigational channel, local media reports.

This program, conducted by the China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC), is set to ensure seamless movement of all types of vessels and ease their docking without any interruption.

In this regard, ‘Completion Ceremony for Maintenance Dredging Navigation Channel Project’ was held at the Gwadar Port this week.

The project officially started on April 7, 2023.

Now, these areas are deep enough to accommodate large ships of more than 50,000 tons, further enhancing the throughput capacity of the port.
