This work is part of the Gulhifalhu Dredging and Land Reclamation Project, located in the eastern part of the lagoon.
According to the official website of Gulhifalhu Project, revetments will be constructed to protect all ocean facing sides of the reclamation works.
Also, all inner lagoon facing areas will be protected as part of the port and harbour construction works.
The work on the Gulhifalhu reclamation and revetment works is set to conclude by the end of October 2024.
