The steel cutting ceremony of two electrically powered mining dredgers for Kenmare Resources took place at Royal IHC shipyard in Kinderdijk today.
“ We were honoured to welcome Kees van der Staaij and aldermen Hugo van der Wal and Piet Vat to Royal IHC’s shipyards in both Kinderdijk and Krimpen aan den IJssel ,” said Royal IHC.
“In Kinderdijk Mr. Van der Staaij, in his new role as Special Envoy of the Dutch maritime industry, was invited to initiate the ceremonial cutting of the first steel plate for the two electrically powered mining dredgers we are building for our client Kenmare Resources Plc.”
