Trailer suction hopper dredge New Era is once again performing maintenance dredging of the entrance channel into the Port Otago.
Over the past few weeks, the New Era has been busy dredging of the channel near and around Harington Bend.
The port – located on the Otago Harbor in New Zealand – maintains the longest harbour channel in the country with regular dredging services.
The success of these dredging operations has helped increase productivity by allowing larger ships and greater freedom of movement within the channel.
