Curtin Maritime Corp. of Long Beach, California, has won an $18.8 million USACE contract for maintenance dredging project in Oakland.
Oakland Harbor is a high-use, deep-draft harbor located on San Francisco Bay in Alameda County, California.
The project, awarded by the Army Corps San Francisco District, includes maintenance dredging of the Inner and Outer harbor channel to -50-ft (MLLW) plus 1-ft of paid over-depth.
According to the Corps, dredging will be performed either by a clamshell or hydraulic dredge with an estimated completion date of Dec. 31, 2024.
