Currently, the port has a depth of 15 meters in the dock area, with 2.5 million m³ of dredged material removed so far, which corresponds to 78% of the total progress.
According to the port, the main equipment used in this activity is the “Backhoe” model dredger, which is in full operation at the moment. The partial operation phase of the dredging works is expected to be completed in the second half of this year.
Imetame began works on the R$1.7 billion project in July 2021, and the port will be fully operational by the end of 2025.
