Manson Construction will soon begin maintenance dredging of the federal navigation channel in Coos Bay, Oregon.

Maintenance dredging is important for the Port of Coos Bay as it keeps the channel at its authorized depth and allows safe and efficient navigation of vessels.

With help from the federal delegation, the port secured $10 million to conduct maintenance dredging for River Mile 12-15 in 2022.

The US Army Corps of Engineers awarded the Coos Bay Upriver Clamshell Dredging contract to Manson on July 16, 2024.

Work is expected to begin in the coming weeks, with the completion date of October 31, 2024.
