The dredging campaign, second in 2024, is scheduled to commence today, August 15, with an expected completion date before the end of November 2024.
Supporting Modi R will be a barge-based excavator, Tug Edi and split hopper barge PM Skippy. All dredged material is to be disposed at the approved dredge spoil disposal ground, outside of the Port of Bunbury and approximately 10km northwest of the works.
The purpose of the maintenance program is to maximize the depth, safety and efficiency of the channels and berths within the Port of Bunbury.
