The scope of the project included construction of of three armour stone sills, construction of temporary access road and four emergent breakwaters.
The breakwater system is aimed at meeting the following objectives: reduce the frequency and severity of coastal erosion and inundation at the project area; alleviate coastal erosion by structural protection of critical assets of the resort, and increase the amenity value of the project area by creating a safe bathing area.
This vital infrastructure now stands strong, protecting the hotel and its facilities from the powerful waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
