GLDD wins $65.8 million Mobile Harbor dredging contract

Great Lakes Dock and Dredge Co. (GLDD) has won a $65.8 million firm-fixed-price contract to deepen and widen Mobile Harbor. GLDD wins $65.8 million Mobile Harbor dredging contract

Great Lakes Dock and Dredge Co. (GLDD) has won a $65.8 million firm-fixed-price contract to deepen and widen Mobile Harbor.

Bids were solicited via the internet with three received, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) said.

Work will be performed in Irvington, Alabama, with an estimated completion date of April 27, 2025.

Fiscal 2020 civil construction funds and fiscal 2024 civil operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $65,875,022 were obligated at the time of the award, said DoD.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is the contracting activity.
