Beach nourishment and reprofiling works wrapped up more than two months ahead of schedule at Noosa Dog Beach in 2024, helping to reduce coastal erosion in the popular recreational area.
Hall Contracting dredged approximately 85,000m3 of sand at the popular recreational area, renourishing the beach and constructing two sand plugs at the eastern and western ends of the beach to redirect flowing water away from the shore and back to the centre of the channel.
The crew also created a safer navigational channel between Noosa River and the river mouth for boaties.
