Fiji Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka recently commissioned three projects for the Fiji Ports Authority, marking a significant upgrade to the country’s port facilities.

The three projects at the Lautoka port include maintenance dredging, pilot boat and construction of a container yard.

The maintenance dredging project covers an area of 63,624 square meters while the construction of the container yard will include a wash-bay area, promoting sustainable and waste management practices.

The pilot board namely “Louvaju”, will further enhance border security with access beyond port boundaries, improving maritime control.
