Mud Cat commissioned a brand new 2024 Mud Cat® 115D dredging system for a repeat customer in Louisiana last week.
The customer opted for Mud Cat’s optional remote-control system for use in a high H2S environment.
Additionally, the dredge automatically returns to its start position once it hits the end of the cut using Mud Cat’s proprietary Auto Sense™ technology.
“ The system boasts a powerful 125 HP (93 kW) diesel engine, 2,000 GPM (454m3/hr.) dredge pump, and a powerful cutterhead with the patented Pump Defender for reducing downtime in debris rich environments by up to 80% ,” Mud Cat said.
The radio remote control provides additional versatility in toxic environments where safety is paramount.
