Sand dredging underway at the West Beach Boat Ramp

The Marine Safety SA has announced the start of dredging operations at the West Beach Boat Ramp. According to the Notice to Mariners No. 65 of 2024, dredging commenced on 27th October 2024 in the vicinity of the West Beach Boat Ramp. Dredging operations are scheduled for up to 24 hours a day, 7 days

The Marine Safety SA has announced the start of dredging operations at the West Beach Boat Ramp.

According to the Notice to Mariners No. 65 of 2024, dredging commenced on 27th October 2024 in the vicinity of the West Beach Boat Ramp.

Dredging operations are scheduled for up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are expected to be completed by December.

The dredged sand will be used to nourish the West Beach, helping to reduce coastal erosion and create a more resilient coastline.
