Rehabilitation works on the 1.2 kilometers Chinkundu embankment in Zambia are progressing according to schedule, the Chilubi Town Council said.
The Council is using a Watermaster eco-dredger to strengthen the flood barrier, reducing flood risks and protecting local communities as the rainy season approaches.
A team led by the Engineering Department took the Council Chairperson recently to inspect the works done so far.
At the moment, this very important project is 75% complete.
