Shane Rendalls, Councillor for Redland Bay and Southern Moreton Bay Islands, has announced the start of dredging operations in Weiman Creek.

Dredging operations in the creek and approaches will commence on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 with works expected to be completed by April 2025.

This will remove the step up to the jetty at low tide, improving passenger safety and keeping the channel clear.

Works will involve the hopper dredge “PORT FREDERICK” performing the operations, with all dredged material to be disposed of at Mud Island site.
