Swansea Channel connects Lake Macquarie to the Pacific Ocean and Is the only entrance to the popular boating area in the Hunter region.
The Swansea Dredging Project involves the dredging of navigation channels to improve navigation safety for commercial and recreational vessels travelling through navigable waters at the location.
Usually, dredging of the Channel involves removal of approximately 30,000 cubic meters of sediment to provide a 30 meter wide channel and allow for vessels with draft of up to 2.5m.
The deadline to submit tender is 3:00pm (Sydney time) on 02 December 2024.
