Parks Victoria is embarking on a dredging project that will remove a build-up of sand at the entrance to Patterson River.
This work is part of the routine maintenance dredging to avoid navigation hazards at the entrance of the river.
Dredging will be carried out by a cutter suction dredge along the navigation channel between the Nepean Hwy bridge and the outer navigation marks. Dredged material will be deposited on the adjacent beach, south of the river entrance.
The dredging will begin next Monday, December 9, and will take 4-8 days (weather permitting).
