At the Damen Dredging Yard, two new generation cutter suction dredgers CSD450 and CSD600 are along the quay for outfitting and trials – almost ready for delivery.
The fully dismountable CSD450 is equipped with a high efficiency dredge pump and heavy-duty side wire winches and has a dredging depth of 12 meters.
The new series CSD600 builds on the success of the old, with significant lessons learned and faces the future with improved safety, sustainability and efficiency, said Damen.
Also, the CSD600 is capable of dredging to depths of -18 meters with 250kW cutter power.
