Jan De Nul has installed a carbon measuring station for WETCOAST, a research project studying carbon capture and storage by coastal wetlands.
According to the company’s latest announcement, they installed the station in the newly created nature reserve – the Hedwige-Prosperpolder. “ In the early 2020s, we helped turn this 465-hectare area into a thriving estuary, protecting the surrounding areas from flooding. Now, we are diving deeper into the carbon storage of these new mudflats and salt marshes ,” said Jan De Nul.
