The Port of Barcelona’s Management Board last week awarded a contract for construction of the embankment of the enclosures of the new Catalunya wharf to the JV Sacyr Construcción, SA – José Antonio Romero Polo, SAU for an amount of €72.3 million.
The works will take 27 months to complete and will involve building a sea embankment, which will form the first enclosure for depositing materials from the dredging of the port docks, the navigation channel and other works in progress, such as the Adossat wharf or the new mooring points of the Energy wharf.
