A 50cm shingle bank has been built in Kingston, between Lein Car Park on the west side of the village, and the main shingle ridge at the lagoon on the east side.

Meanwhile, large boulders known as ‘rock armor’ have been put in place on Findhorn Road (B9011), following significant coastal erosion last year.
Chair of the Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, Cllr Marc Macrae , said: “ These projects are important steps forward in ensuring the long-term protection of our costal communities; and are examples of the ongoing work to tackle the serious issue of coastal erosion across Moray.”
Also, coastal monitoring stations have been installed at a number of locations across Moray.
