Beginning Friday, May 8, 2026, Lake Mars Boat Launch will undergo routine maintenance dredging, Jackson County, Mississippi Government, said.
Heavy equipment will be operating in the area as crews work to improve county waterways.
Boats are urged to stay alert, keep a safe distance from equipment, and follow directions from contractor personnel while work is underway, the County said.
The project is expected to wrap up sometime around May 22.
The boat launch will remain open for public use during dredging operations.
