According to CPRA, this $40 million investment is part of a larger land bridge that will help reduce wave erosion and storm surge impacts, while also decreasing salinity levels in Breton Sound. Also, the project is set to provide critical habitat for fish and wildlife while strengthening the natural protections that coastal communities depend on.
